The Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains offers excitement and adventure for everyone. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is host to over 9 million visitors every year--due mainly to its great location and the Park's amazing biodiversity. The Four Seasons of the Tennessee Smoky Mountains
The whole Smoky Mountain region is a perfect vacation destination during all four seasons of the year. During spring the Smokies bloom into life with trees and wildflowers throughout the region and can be enjoyed by auto-touring, hiking, or through the Wildflower Pilgrimage. Throughout the summer the high temperatures average in the 90s with low temperatures averaging between the 60s and 70s with a chance of relaxing afternoon showers. During the fall the rich colors of autumn can be seen everywhere and is when the Smokies begin to receive less rainfall. Through the winter temperatures can reach highs of the 70s but average with 50 degrees or more while lows can hover around freezing or just below.
